Within the framework of the forum of Turkic peoples ‘ crafts in Rishton, the National pottery exhibition-trade “Kulollar sayli” was organized in the park named after Burhoniddin al-Marghilaniy ar-Roshidoniy in Rishton, the opening ceremony of the National pottery exhibition-trade “Kulollar sayli” was held.

Master potters, representatives of the regions of the Republic and Karakalpakstan pottery schools, were involved in the event held on may 12-14 within the framework of the Forum of traditional Turkic peoples crafts organized in our region with the support of the Ministry of Culture and tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The opening ceremony was attended by Ulugbek Abdullayev, Chairman of the Union “craftsman” of the Republic, khurshidjon Ahmedov, deputy governor of the region, Sufhonjon Soliev, governor of the Rishton district, foreign guests, industry experts and representatives of the general public. At the opening ceremony of the event, it was noted that special attention is paid by the head of state to the development of the craft industry in our country with ancient and rich traditions.

“Kulollar sayli” was originally established in Tashkent in 2021, focusing on the fact that this year the second marotoba is taking place in the Rishton district. It was noted that Rishton – from time immemorial considered the center of glazed earthenware in Central Asia, the products made by Rishton Potters are distinguished by its design, natural color and richness in pepper replica patterns, the presence of a unique Rishton Potters school is instrumental in the establishment of “Potters sayli”in this area.

During the event, a concert program featuring artists, national songs and dances gave the crowd an uplifting mood. The National pottery exhibition-sale” Kulollar sayli ” was declared open, and visitors were able to get acquainted with and shop for the pottery typical of different regions of Uzbekistan.

Master classes were held, in which the processes of making pottery and giving them patterns were carried out. Interesting events within the framework of the forum of crafts of Turkic peoples will continue even tomorrow. In particular, an international scientific and practical conference entitled” Rishton pottery: yesterday, today, tomorrow “is planned to be held to familiarize yourself with the activities of the” International Center for Potters”.
