At the same time, National trainings on traditional crafts, entrepreneurship and design for the protection of intangible cultural heritage and the development of the creative industry were started in Margilon by the Unesco representative office in Uzbekistan, the Union “craftsman” of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Margilon Craft Development Center. These trainings are being organized as part of the European Union and UNESCO project “Silk Road Heritage corridors in Afghanistan, Central Asia and Iran – an international measure of the European Year of cultural heritage”.
The training program consists of theoretical training and provides a broad understanding of the historical development and modern trends of traditional crafts in Uzbekistan, as well as practical training in traditional embroidery, ethno design and chitgarism. An important part of the training sleeve will focus on the development of entrepreneurship and business in the field of culture, in particular crafts. This training is conducted by prominent experts, Masters and designers of Uzbekistan for 60 participants from different regions of Uzbekistan.
