Alikhojayev Rakhmatkhoja is a 7th generation follower of the knife-maker ismailkhoja dynasty who founded The Art of knife-making Shahrikhon in the late 17th and early 18th centuries. Alikhayev Rakhmatkhoja has been enriching his creativity by studying the traditional knife-maker khunar from his father, the traditional knife-maker Ubaydullayev Alikhoja, harmonizing the skills and modern techniques preserved from his descendants: swords, knives, daggers, scissors and decorating their heels and handles.
R.Alikhajayev is a mature representative and practical captain of the Shahrykhan National School of knife making, one of the largest and most prestigious centers of the Uzbek national knife-making art today, with a 200-year history tradition. The master’s traditional and unique polished “silver sarbasta”, Brig sarbasta,” Suqma“,” Chilmikha “handle” Kayqi“,” Kazakh“,” Tolbargi “and other types of knives are spreading outside the Republic, to neighboring Republics, foreign countries such as Japan, Arabia, Turkey, Germany, India, America, through international, art exhibitions, trade fairs and private merchants as an example of Uzbek national knife-making art.
