R. Mirzaakhmedov, the Chairman of the “Hunarmand” Association of the Republic of Uzbekistan, visited the handicraft products store in the “Duty-Free” zone at Tashkent International Airport, named after Islam Karimov.
It should be noted that this store was established in collaboration with the Association “Hunarmand” of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Uzbekistan Airports, following paragraph 8, subparagraph 3 of the Presidential Decree DP-5033, dated March 23, 2021, titled “On Measures to Accelerate the Development and Support of Pottery.”
Through the association’s subsidiary, “Craft and Art” LLC, a 153 m² space has been allocated in the airport’s waiting area, showcasing over 5,000 handicraft items that are displayed and available for purchase.
During his visit, the chairman provided important instructions and recommendations to enhance the store’s operations, broaden the range of souvenirs offered, and improve the availability of handicraft products that reflect Uzbekistan’s cultural heritage, particularly for foreign tourists visiting the country.
