Rasuljon Mirzaakhmedov, the Chairman of Association “Hunarmand” of the Republic of Uzbekistan, is on a working visit to Khorezm region.
During the visit, he met and conversed with artisans active in Arda Khiva. Among them were potter Dilnoza Otajanova, coppersmith Arkaboy Ibadullayev, master of handmade traditional cap Shokir Abdullayev, and potter Odilbek Rahimov. He reviewed their work and discussed the current issues and challenges in the field, as well as their achievements.
Then, chairman R. Mirzaakhmedov and the regional officials visited the “Turt Shovvoz” cultural heritage site in the city of Khiva. They discussed the establishment of the “Craftsmen Center” on a selected 6.2-hectare land plot adjacent to the site. The chairman reviewed the land area and construction project documents for the center, which will be built at the location.
