This fair is being held within the framework of the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan on “Measures Further to Improve the System of Support for Handicraft Activities.”Local artisans from all regions of Uzbekistan, along with foreign artisans from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan, are participating in the event, showcasing their handcrafted products.
It is essential to highlight that each year, more than 100 exhibitions, festivals, and fairs dedicated to national handicrafts are organized across Uzbekistan, eagerly anticipated by artisans. These events provide an opportunity to sell products and offer cultural enrichment, spiritual fulfillment, and a chance for artisans to exchange experiences. Additionally, they foster friendships and socio-economic cooperation with foreign craftspeople.
The “Craft Fair Uzbekistan” international fair can become a key exhibition and trade event, solidifying its place in this tradition.
It is worth noting that handicrafts produced in Uzbekistan generate significant interest among the many tourists visiting our country. The fair focused on promoting international trade in these crafts.
Moreover, the products presented at the fair also find a customer base within the domestic market.
The organization of such events aims to provide comprehensive support to artisans, assist with selling their products, and share knowledge with the younger generation.
