Under Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan № RP-405 on additional measures to preserve, study, and promote intangible cultural heritage, the Fergana regional khokimiyat, Ministry of Culture, and “Hunarmand” association agreed to teach atlas and adras production and pottery using the mentor-apprentice model at the Rishton International Ceramics Center and The Crafts Development Center in Margilan; conduct scientific research on these crafts; organize exhibitions and demonstrations; launch product sales.
To ensure the resolution’s implementation, the Rishton International Ceramics Center hosted an exchange between youth, art historians, leading industry experts, and master potters with their own schools.
These meetings focused on safeguarding intangible cultural heritage through scientific study and promotion, as well as strengthening mentor-apprentice traditions in pottery and atlas/adras production.
