The project titled “Heritage of Ancestors: Preserving the Master-Apprentice Traditions” by the Republican “Hunarmand” Association, funded by the Public Fund under the Tashkent City Council of People’s Deputies, has successfully concluded.
Today, certificates were presented to the participants who completed the handicraft training courses held at the Republican “Hunarmand” Association as part of this project.
The event was attended by the head of the Tashkent city branch of The Public Fund under the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Hayotkhon Kuchkarova, the chairman of the Republican Association “Hunarmand,” Rasuljon Mirzaakhmedov, the leading specialist of the the Department for the Study of Social Problems and Formation of Competitions of the Public Fund under the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Dilbar Usmanova, the head of The Tashkent city territorial branch of the National Association of Non-Governmental Non-Commercial Organizations of Uzbekistan (NANNOUz), Dilmurod Izzatov, and an expert of the Tashkent city branch of the Public Fund under the Oliy Majlis, Mavluda Tadjiyeva.
Over the past six months, more than 100 women and students without employment, including those with disabilities, have participated in the project and learned handicrafts such as embroidery, gold embroidery, making jewelry from simple metals in national styles, macramé, and handwoven items.
Four women graduated from the program, registered as artisans, and started their activities. The remaining women were provided with apprenticeships, and certificates were issued.
