On February 17, 2026, the “Hunarmand” Association organized an online meeting about IKAT via Zoom.
The session was chaired by the Association’s Chairman, Rasuljon Mirzaakhmedov.
The meeting was attended by:
Aziza Umarova — Representative of the Agency for Strategic Reforms under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan
Binafsha Nodir — Art Historian, PhD, Editor-in-Chief of the journals “SAN’AT” (“ART”) and “Hunarmand”, Member of the Creative Union of Artists of Uzbekistan;
Lola Sayfi — Founder of Human House.
Artisans active across the regions also took part in the proceedings.
A representative of the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction of the Republic of Uzbekistan participated in the meeting, presenting information on available opportunities and state support measures in this field.
During the meeting, participants agreed to prioritize strategies for the development of the IKAT sector, strengthen international partnerships, enhance product quality standards, and increase the visibility of national craftsmanship globally.
