A meeting was held to discuss issues related to coordinating the master plan for the “Craftsmen’s Center” being built near the “Turt Shovvoz” cultural heritage site with the UNESCO National Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
According to the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on November 29, 2024, No. RP-410, titled “On additional measures of socio-economic development of Khorezm region,” it is specified that:
g) The Cultural Heritage Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in collaboration with the “Hunarmand” Association and the khokimiyat of the Khorezm region, is tasked with ensuring that the master plan for the Craftsmen’s Center is coordinated with the National Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan for UNESCO within two months.
To ensure the execution of this task, on May 1 of this year, a “Working Group,” consisting of representatives from the “Hunarmand” Association, UNESCO’s office in Uzbekistan, the National Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan for UNESCO, members of the World Heritage Center in Paris, the Cultural Heritage Agency, and ATB “Microcreditbank,” discussed the master plan for the “Craftsmen’s Center” to be built near the “Turt Shovvoz” (in the territory of Dishan Kala) cultural heritage site.
