“Hunarmand” Association — the hub for developing and preserving national handicrafts

At the International Tourism Forum “Dialogue on the Silk Road” held in Samarkand, the head of the Samarkand regional department of the “Hunarmand” Association, U. Hakimov, delivered a detailed report.
He outlined broad reforms in the handicraft sector for foreign tourists, as well as projects to safeguard traditions and pass them on to new generations.
The “Hunarmand” Association implements projects to showcase Uzbek national handicrafts, enhance the skills of local masters, and create new opportunities in the handicraft industry.
The association also backs initiatives for exporting handicraft products and entering global markets.
