As previously reported, an international delegation headed by Saad Al-Qaddumi, President of the World Crafts Council (WCC AISBL), is currently in Uzbekistan.
The guests are currently in Andijan region.
Today, a meeting was held at the Andijan regional administration, attended by delegation members, First Deputy Khokim Karimov Dilshod Abdumalikovich, and Chairman of the Republican “Hunarmand” Association Rasuljon Mirzaakhmedov.
They discussed creating favorable conditions for artisans in Shakhrikhan district, advancing the sphere of handicrafts and tourism to a new level, and granting the district the title “City of Handicrafts.”
During the visit, members of the delegation will become acquainted with the activities of local artisans, their products, and the created infrastructurex.
