A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Scientific-Research Institute of Cultural Studies and Intangible Cultural Heritage and the Republican “Hunarmand” Association of Uzbekistan.

Today, the Chairman of the Republican “Hunarmand Association, Rasuljon Mirzaakhmedov, welcomed the Director of the Scientific-Research Institute of Cultural Studies and Intangible Cultural Heritage, Botir Ergashev.

During the mutually beneficial discussion, both institutions formalized their collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Cooperation.

The memorandum includes the following key areas:

  • Promoting handicraft skills among young people through the “ustoz-shogird” (master-apprentice) system, organizing exhibitions of created works by youth, and assigning young artisans to experienced masters in local communities for in-depth training. Additionally, it supports their participation in national exhibitions and fairs alongside renowned artisans.
  • Conducting scientific and methodological studies on folk crafts and applied arts, as well as organizing research expeditions across regions.

Raising awareness of intangible cultural heritage, particularly among young people, through joint scientific-practical conferences, forums, seminars, and roundtable discussions.
