As part of preparing for the President’s Open Dialogue with entrepreneurs, the meeting was held with representatives from the handicraft and jewelry sectors to discuss problems and proposals in the field of entrepreneurship.
Heads of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, The State Tax Committee, the Customs Committee under the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Business Ombudsman of Uzbekistan, “Hunarmand” Association, and the Association of the Jewelry Industry of Uzbekistan participated in it.
The meeting provided an in-depth overview of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, № RP-207, “On additional measures to support the jewelry manufacturing industry,” adopted on June 26, 2025.
Entrepreneurs were given the opportunity to present their challenges and proposals. All feedback and initiatives will be consolidated and included in the Open Dialogue agenda.
At the meeting, issues in the handicraft sector were raised, including the renting of state property, the cultivation of local trees as raw materials for woodcarvers, challenges in placing handicraft products on the stock exchange and online markets, and the heads of the responsible organizations expressed their opinions on the raised problems and proposals.
